Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and First Baptist Church will hold the 26th annual Gospel Music in celebration of Black History Month on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 105 Bishop Lane in Elizabethtown. Hart County 4-H is hosting a soup and chili lunch on Friday, February 3rd at the Hart County Extention Office from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The cost is $5 and includes Potato Soup or Chili, Pimento Cheese or Peanut Butter Sandwich, Crackers, Homemade pies, cookies or brownies. Dine-in, carry out or delivery is available. Drinks are included with dine-in only. Delivery orders will be accepted through Thursday afternoon. A benefit for Ronnie Cutliff of Horse Cave will be held on Saturday, March 31st at the VFW Club in Rowletts. There will be food, cake walk, live auction, music, and raffle tickets for a country ham. Friends of Mammoth Cave, a group of concerned citizens and community leaders working with the National Park Service started the organization in order to preserve and protect Mammoth Cave National Park. At the same time, the Friends Organization hopes to enhance visitors' and family experiences for years to come. The organization works to fund important projects and initiatives many of which are beyond the financial capacity of the National Park Service. The Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park receives no annual government funding, relying instead upon the support of private citizens, foundations, and corporations. The Green River Animal Welfare League is still offering a free spay or neuter for your dog or cat if you are 65 or older and live in Adair, Metcalfe, and Russell County. This free offer is good for any dog or cat you own. To be eligible, you must fill out an application and include proof of age and residency. Community Action of Southern Kentucky announces participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program administered by the Kentucky Department of Education.
