Dance at Mt. Hermon Community Center will be Friday, October 20th, featuring the Skahls, doors open at 6:00 p.m.

 

The 8th Annual Big Buffalo Crossing BBQ Cook-Off will be held in downtown Munfordville Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st.  This free event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and BBQ teams will be competing for $15,000 in prize money. The 2017 Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention will host gospel singing groups from Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois on Friday, October 20th, at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 21st, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cave City Convention Center. This years - 72-year anniversary will feature 26 different duets, trios and quartets. Admission is free and concessions will be available.

Harvest Time Campmeeting is underway at Bonnieville Church of God of Prophesy through Saturday, October 28th.  Various speakers will minister each night, and Adam Crabb will sing Thursday night, October 26th. The host will be Ann Hagan, along with Pastor Dewayne and Minerva Kidd.

Remembering Munfordville 2017 "The Homecoming" will be held Saturday, October 21st, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Munfordville Presbyterian Church. There will be FREE country ham biscuits, donuts, coffee and juice at the Old Inn from 9 to noon. There will be stories, historical anecdotes, entertainment and open discussions. There will also be a remembrance from family and friends of Bill
Richardson, Rachael Wright Martin and Robert Logsdon. Some members from the Munfordville classes of 1966 and 1967

will tell some of their stories from the '60's.

 

The Munfordville Volunteer Fire Department will host a chili supper and auction on Saturday, October 21st, at 5:00 p.m. at the Munfordville Fire House located on Old National Turnpike. The Glasgow High School and Barren County High School Choirs will be in concert Sunday, October 22nd, presenting  "With a Song in Our Hearts". It begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Barren County High School Auditorium. Admission is free with no advance reservations or tickets required.

The 19th Annual WLOC Clothes for Kids Fall radio auction will begin Monday, October 30th, at 9:00 a.m. on Studio 101/WLOC. Items for the auction are needed such as: tools, toys, gift baskets, country hams, crafts, antiques and baked goods, and they can be dropped off at the WLOC radio station. This will be a one week auction and proceeds will go toward clothing needs for children in Hart County and Caverna School systems, working through the nine family resource centers.
