T. J. Samson Community Hospital is offering a bereavement support group.. There is no charge to attend but registration is required. Hart County Schools have made the decision to return to in-home virtual classes due to cases of COVID-19 and staffing, but plan on returning back to in-person classes Thursday, October 29th, using the AB Group method as before.
Caverna Schools are now holding in-person classes using a hybrid learning method. The Purple Group is attending in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays (last name A-J), while the White Group is attending Tuesdays and Thursdays (last name K-Z). Friday will be virtual learning for all students. Siblings in the same household can attend on the same days and masks and temperature checks will be required daily.

The Cave City Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Radio/TV Auction will continue through Thursday evening, October 29th. The auction will be broadcast on radio WLOC/AM 1150, Studio 101.7 FM and online at wloconline.com and simulcast live on SCRTC TV channel 6 and EPB TV channel 6 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. each evening. Free Bethel General Baptist Church is having revival services now through Friday, October 30th. The church is located at 10th & Broadway in Cave City. Bro. Rodney Smith will be the evangelist and services begin at 6:00 p.m. each evening.

Hart County Salvation Army Yard Sale will be held Friday, October 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Farmer's Market in Munfordville. All money collected from the yard sale will stay in Hart County to help the community. Angel Tree Sign-Ups are underway with the Hart County Salvation Army for infants to toddlers that are not in the Hart County School system. The office is temporarily in the Old Chamber of Commerce Building on the corner of the Old Court House Grounds. Parents and guardians may pickup applications during business hours on Mondays 10:00 am. to 12:00 p.m. and Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with no appointment needed. To have an Angel Tree Packet mailed to you, phone 270-528-7707 during business hours. Applications must be returned no later than November 2nd, 2020.
Due to COVID-19, WLOC Clothes for Kids will not hold their annual radio auction this year. However, Clothes for Kids is continuing to accept monetary donations throughout the year. If you would like to donate, please send your monetary donation to: WLOC Clothes for Kids, P.O. Box 98, Horse Cave, Ky. 42749. All donations are greatly appreciated. Clothes for Kids serves the nine family resource centers in Hart County and Caverna Schools and is a 501-C3 non-profit organization.
Barn Lot Theater is proud to return to the stage at Metcalfe County Middle School’s auditorium to present Steel Magnolias on December 4th, 5th, and 6th. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Social distancing and masks will be required. This event is a fundraiser for Barn Lot Theater and is not included in season tickets. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased online at barnlottheater.org or by calling 270-432-BARN.

The Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce’s Community Christmas Parade will happen on December 5th this year. The theme this year is “Heroes of 2020,” and the grand marshal consists of local doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and first responders. Parade units and floats are asked to limit the maximum number of people riding or being involved to 10 people. Spectators are asked to remain with their families and are asked to wear a mask. The route will extend along South Green Street to the South Gate Plaza. Applications are now available and the entry fee is $15. Entries must be received by Friday, November 6th, and are available at www.glasgowbarrenchamber.com. They may be submitted at the Chamber of Commerce, which is located at 118 E. Public Square in Glasgow. After Nov. 6, the entry fee increases to $30.
