Donations are needed for the Angel Tree Programs at Hart County & Caverna Schools. Individuals, families, businesses and organizations are urged to donate and give to these much-needed programs. If you'd like to donate, call Hart County or Caverna Schools Family Resource & Youth Services Center.
October 6th, 2023
Applications will be available for Hart County's CAIP to assist farmers in making important on-farm investments. Application period is underway now through October 6th. You may pick up an application at the Hart County UK Extension Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A gospel singing will be held at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Friday night, October 6th, at 6:30 p.m. The church is located just south of Upton.

Hart County Solid Waste announces 2023 dates for Free Large Item Drop Off. All Saturday times are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. October 7th & November 4th.
Items considered free large drop off items:
couches, chairs, recliners, mattresses, box springs, tvs, tables, dressers, and large furniture
Paint: must be mixed 50/50 with cat litter or sand
Metal and large appliances: free year round (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, most dishwashers, water heaters, microwaves, grills.
There is a charge on all household trash, construction debris, building materials, carpet and tires. For more information, call Hart County Solid Waste drop-off at 270-524-5178 or 270-537-4357.
A reunion for the descendants of Rudolph Riggs will be held Saturday, October 7th, at 9:00 a.m. at Upton Community Center. For more information, call 270-531-6947.

We're Blessed will sing for homecoming service at Echo Mission Church in Horse Cave Sunday, October 8th, at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will follow the service. The pastor is Bro. Doug Cross.
Knoxes Creek Baptist Church, in the Linwood community, will be hosting their annual Homecoming service Sunday, October 8th. Singing by "The Glory Road" will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Chuck Templeman will bring the sermon at 11:00 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. The church is located on Hwy 566, one mile East, off 31-E.
A singing will be held at Christian Worship Center in Horse Cave Sunday, October 8th, at 6:00 p.m. The McCoy Family will be singing.

Join the Hart County Chamber for an exclusive update by the Kentucky Chamber on a new opportunity for employers to address child care challenges among their employees. Earlier this Spring, a new state program went live that can help Kentucky employers address child care challenges faced by their employees. Through the Employee Child Care Assistance Partnership, the state will partner with employers who offer financial assistance to help their employees afford quality child care. Dr. Charles Aull, Executive Director of the Kentucky Chamber Center for Policy and Research, will provide an overview of the program and also answer questions.
