The 2026 Hart County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet is set for 6pm on August 27th at the Hart County Fairgrounds. It will be an evening of celebration, recognition and fellowship to honor businesses, organizations and individuals making making positive impacts on our community throughout the year. Tickets are available for purchase individually and organizations may reserve an entire table for employees, clients, board members or guests. Members have been mailed an email link to order tickets online. Call the Hart County Chamber of Commerce Office to make reservations by phone at 270-524-2892.
The Caverna Family Resource & Youth Services Center and Caverna Independent Schools invite you to attend "The Dangers of Social Media" on Thursday, August 27th, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Cave Area Conference Center. This informative program is free and will help participants better understand the risks associated with social media and provide practical tips and strategies for keeping children safe online. A complimentary meal will be provided. We encourage parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators, and all community members to attend. Tickets are now on sale for Rock 4 Steve, a benefit in support of Steve Jewell Sr. and his battle against cancer. The event will be held at Cave Area Conference Center with a free car show and live auction at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29th. There will be food trucks available throughout the day. The benefit concert will begin at 5:00 p.m. with $25 admission, featuring multiple South Central Kentucky artists including: Steve's band mates in Nightfall & headlined with a very special acoustic performance by Black Stone Cherry. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses and cost of living. Tickets may be purchased online.

Come out and "Squeeze The Day" with Elainna Barker to benefit Toys For Toys of Southern Kentucky. The motorcycle ride and lemonade stand sale event is set for Saturday, August 29th at the Maple Avenue park in Horse Cave. Registration for the ride begins at 8am with kickstands up at 10am. The cost is $20 per bike, plus a new, unwrapped toy. Elainna will be selling her lemonade, there will be food trucks and music through lunchtime, plus door prizes and bike awards will be given away. Homecoming services will be held at Gloryland Gospel Church, 1761 Commerce Dr., Scottsville, on Sunday, August 30th, at 10:30 a.m. Bro. Alva Robinson will be preaching and the Turner Family from Bowling Green, will sing. Lunch will be served after the morning service with no evening service. The pastor is Chris Calvert.

Join the American Red Cross and the Hart County Chamber of Commerce for a free disaster preparedness program, which provides training and partnerships to build stronger communities. "Be Red Cross Ready" will take place at Hart County Public Library on East Union Street in Munfordville on Tuesday evening, September 1st at 5:30. Come out to Munfordville First United Methodist Church for their community dinner on Wednesday night, September 2nd. Meals will be served from 6-7pm, with a requested donation of $8 per person. The menu features, country fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuit, gravy and a drink, plus chocolate cake for desert. The church is just east of Hart County High School along KY 88. Carry out is available for shut-ins (within a limited delivery area) by calling 270-524-4173.

City of Hope Church Camp meeting will be held Wednesday, September 9th, at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Joseph Henderson; September 10th & 12th, at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Russell Mills; September 11th & 12th Laborers Few will be singing; and Sunday, September 13th, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Allen Harper preaching. The location is 106 Altshelter St., Horse Cave.

The 25th Anniversary of 9/11 is this year. Join the Hart County Veteran's Committee for their "9/11 Fireman Benefit" on Friday, September 11th from 4-8pm at the veteran's park at Rowletts. A memorial ceremony will begin at 5:30 and a bike ride will begin at 6pm. Bring the family and commemorate this special event. Vendors and food trucks will be on hand for dinner. Donations will be accepted at the event for firefighters. Requested items include bottled water, protein bars and batteries. Hart County Civil War Days is coming up Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 11th-13th at the battlefield near Rowletts and Downtown Munfordville. Camps open at 8am Friday on the battlefield with events scheduled through the weekend. Highlights include lantern tours on Friday and Saturday nights, vendors around the square and a parade downtown on Saturday, battle reenactments on Saturday and Sunday, the Blue-Gray Ball on Saturday evening, along with a church service and memorial service on Sunday. The 2026 Hart County Civil War Days Parade is set for 10am Saturday, September 12th in Munfordville. Civic clubs, organizations, antique cars and tractors, decorated side-by-sides and carts, along with walkers in period attire are all invited to participate. Lineup begins at 9am, with walkers meeting in the Hart County Bank parking lot and vehicles meeting at the Hart County Public Library. Metcalfe County Courtyard singing will be held Saturday, September 12th, at 5:00 p.m. in Edmonton. Singers include: the Sextons, the Spirituals, the Gospel Sounds, Austin Loy, Tymber Garrett, Caycee Harris, Gracie Harris & Barbara Froedge. Concessions will be available and bring a lawn chair. In case of rain, the singing will be moved to Edmonton Worship Center Gym at 107 Baker Street.

Salem Baptist Church in Cave City will celebrate 225 years of ministry by hosting a special service Sunday, September 13th, at 10:00 a.m. The service will include worship, special singing by Joyful Road and a time to reflect on the church's history and God's faithfulness for more than two centuries. There will also be a BBQ meal and fellowship and a time capsule will be opened. The church address is 90 Salem Church Road, Cave City.

Come visit with organizations supporting the community at the Hart County Alliance Resource Fair on Saturday, September 19th, from 9am until noon at Rowletts Baptist Church. Feeding Kentucky, Community Action, United Way, Barren River District Health Department and others will be available to answer questions and inform visitors of available opportunities. Food will be available and door prizes will be given away. Rowletts Baptist Church is located at 192 Church Street off of US 31W just south of Munfordville.
Be a part of Crossroads Life Center's "Walk for Life 2026" on Saturday, September 19th. The event is a fundraiser that helps provide no-cost, confidential services to educate and equip families to make healthy and life-affirming choices. offers daily meals, activities, exercise equipment use and other great
services like informational programs on current issues affecting seniors.

Bookmobile service from the Hart County Public Library continues expanding!
The service is open to any resident of the county and is especially helpful
to those with a busy schedule or has trouble getting out. Call 270-524-1953
