WLOC's Annual Nursing Home Christmas visit will be Thursday, December 12th, at 10:00 a.m. Please join us as we gather at Signature Health Care of Hart County in Horse Cave. We will be singing and sharing the story of Christmas. If you wish to give a monetary donation, there is still time. A free photo shoot is available for families and kids on Thursday evening, December 12th, at The Thomas House in Horse Cave from 4:00 until 7:30. The free event is sponsored by "Can't Stop, Won't Stop Motorcycle Association" and the City of Horse Cave. Two photographers will be there with several backdrops available. A ribbon cutting sponsored by the Cave City Chamber of Commerce is set for 11am Friday at Caverna High School's New Welding Unit. The event celebrates the new skills opportunity available for area students. The ribbon cutting is also in partnership with Barren and Hart County Chambers of Commerce.
A live nativity can be seen at Glasgow Faith Church Friday and Saturday, December 13th & 14th, from 6 to 8 pm. The church is located at 3050 Old Bowling Green Rd, Glasgow. The pastor is Bro. Roger Poynter.
Southside Baptist Church will present the Christmas musical cantata “The Greatest Story Ever Told” Friday night, December 13th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. for family, friend and the community and again on Sunday morning, December 15th beginning at 10:30 am. The church is located at 2727 Scottsville Road, Glasgow.
December 14th, 2024
Christmas parades around the community continue this weekend. Edmonton's parade will be Saturday, December 14th, at 5pm and Cave City on Sunday, December 15th, at 5pm.
Bacon Creek Historical Society is participating in National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 14th. Community members are invited to come by Bonnieville Baptist Church and Memory Park Cemetery at 11am to lay wreaths in conjunction with the event.
Cookies with Santa will be hosted by Bonnieville Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, December 14th, at Bonnieville Fire House from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $5 per child which includes: picture with Santa, decorating cookies, make reindeer food, decorate your own ornament and ready a story with Santa. Wear your favorite pajamas. Please preorder your tickets with Brittany Garrett via Facebook or 270-218-1225 by December 12th. All proceeds go to Crusade for Children.

Steve & Joan Hill Ministries are planning a trip to Black Mountain North Carolina before Christmas. Donation items are now being collected, which include: Coats, sleeping bags with mats to lay on ground, gloves, blankets, hand warmers, batteries, flashlights, lighters, propane heaters and propane tanks (grill size), non-perishable food items, Christmas gifts for kids, wrapped with age and gender on gift. Santa's Drop Box is Open! Bring the magic of Christmas to life! Have your little ones drop their letters to Santa at 108 Bridge Street, Munfordville, before December 17th. All kids who send in their letters will receive a personalized reply from the Big Man himself!
The 1st Ever Bubby's Holiday Food Drive is underway. The mission is to support local students in need. Items such as: canned foods, non-perishable items, ramen noodles, jams/jellies, peanut butter, and more will help stock the shelves at Hart County & Caverna school's family resource centers.
