Career EDGE, a web-based platform to deliver virtual career services to job-seekers, is set to be implemented statewide this month. The South Central Workforce Development Board was the first workforce board in Kentucky to begin utilizing Career EDGE. Career EDGE consists of 18 interactive modules with built-in virtual coaching including a job interview simulator, resume and job application builder, guidance in developing a personal brand, and essential life skills curriculum to support career seekers in preparation for finding a job or advance in employment. Along with the introduction of Career EDGE in each of the state’s 10 workforce regions, is an outreach effort primarily led on the social media platforms, Facebook, Instragram, and Twitter @kycareeredge. Access to Kentucky Career EDGE is provided at www.kycareeredge.com. New users simply register for an account by entering in basic contact information, along with their zip code to verify Kentucky residency.
City of Cave City brush pickup schedule has changed. Effective, July 1st, 2020, brush will be picked the 2nd and 4th Thursday instead of every Thursday.
Caverna Schools will be distributing food to students on Mondays at the school pickup and the bus routes will continue to deliver food. Hart County Schools will distribute food for students every Monday.

The Kentucky State Police is featuring the rugged Jeep Gladiator Rubicon to support their fundraising efforts for Trooper Island Camp. The agency is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win this multipurpose vehicle recently named “2020 Pickup of the Year”. Tickets are $10 each and will be available at any KSP post located throughout the state. Tickets are also available to be purchased online by debit or credit card payment at https://squareup.com/store/trooper-island-inc. They can be purchased at the KSP booth at the Farm Machinery Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center Feb. 12-15 as well. The winning ticket will be drawn on Aug. 30, 2020 at the Kentucky State Fair.
