Samaritan Gospel Fest will be held at Minors Lane Baptist Church at 8907 Shepherdsville Rd., Louisville, Saturday, August 8th, at 7:00 p.m. e. t. Guest singers will be the Turner Family from Bowling Green.
August 9th, 2026
The Turner family will sing Sunday, August 9th, at 10:00 a.m. e. t. at Shepherdsville First General Baptist Church, 445 West Blue Lick Road, Shepherdsville.
Samson Street Church of God will have a weekend revival Friday, August 7th, Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 p.m. both nights and then Sunday, August 9th, at 12:00 p.m. The evangelist will be Johnny Larimore and the location is 428 Samson Street, Glasgow. The Freemans will not be singing at Faith Independent Church Sunday, August 9th, due to sickness.

Caverna Independent Preschool Registration will take place Monday, August 10th, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This is the last chance before school begins. Children eligible to attend preschool include: 3 to 4 year-olds living in Caverna's district, 3-year-olds who turn 3 by August 1st and demonstrate a delay or disability requiring special education services and 4-year-olds who turn 4 by August 1st and must meet state income guidelines. Faith Independent Church is celebrating the 40th Annual Homecoming beginning Monday, August 10th. There will be services throughout the week at 6:30 p.m. nightly ; Monday night, Bro. Scott Coats; Tuesday night, Bro. Brad Davis; Wednesday, August 12th, Bro. Joe Milby; Thursday, August 13th, with Bro. Ronald Riordan; Friday, August 14th, with Bro. Jessie Breeding; & Saturday, August 15th, with Bro. Tim Probus. Homecoming will be held Sunday morning, August 16th, at 10:30 a.m. with the Sexton's singing and Bro. Joey Sexton preaching. A meal will follow. The church is located at 230 Boyd's Knob Road, Munfordville.

A benefit for funeral expenses for Mark Dennis will be held Saturday, August 15th, noon til 6:00 p.m. at Linwood Community Center. There will be a silent auction, cake walk, and plate lunches for $7. A free will offering will be taken as well. For more information, call Rita at 270-537-4686.

Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church is hosting a gospel sing Saturday, August 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. Four The King will be singing with a night of music and worship. Everyone is welcome and the church address is 1562 Main St., Munfordville.

The Caverna Family Resource & Youth Services Center and Caverna Independent Schools invite you to attend "The Dangers of Social Media" on Thursday, August 27th, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Cave Area Conference Center. This informative program is free and will help participants better understand the risks associated with social media and provide practical tips and strategies for keeping children safe online. A complimentary meal will be provided. We encourage parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators, and all community members to attend. Tickets are now on sale for Rock 4 Steve, a benefit in support of Steve Jewell Sr. and his battle against cancer. The event will be held at Cave Area Conference Center with a free car show and live auction at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29th. There will be food trucks available throughout the day. The benefit concert will begin at 5:00 p.m. with $25 admission, featuring multiple South Central Kentucky artists including: Steve's band mates in Nightfall & headlined with a very special acoustic performance by Black Stone Cherry. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses and cost of living. Tickets may be purchased online.

Hart County Senior Center is open Monday thru Friday from 8am until Noon and
offers daily meals, activities, exercise equipment use and other great
services like informational programs on current issues affecting seniors.

Bookmobile service from the Hart County Public Library continues expanding!
The service is open to any resident of the county and is especially helpful
to those with a busy schedule or has trouble getting out. Call 270-524-1953
