Benefit for Mark Bennett on Saturday, February 7th in the Fellowship Hall of the Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave.  Food will be sold for donation at 1:00 p.m.  The auction will begin at 2:00 p.m.  All proceeds will go towards medical expenses.  If you have something you would like to donate call Bobby Neal at 270-786-3705 or 270-590-3705.

The 11th annual Gospel Music FanFair will be held May 18-23rd in the Somerset Center for Rural Development’s performance theatre.  Daily events throughout the week include morning worship services, daily showcases, afternoon matinees, and the 2015 Gospel Music Fan Awards.   Open nominations are currently being accepted. The Cave City Chamber of Commerce will hold it's monthly meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10th, at Sahara Steak House in Cave City. In recognition of February being American Heart Month, the evening's speaker will be Dr. Melissa Walton-Shirley. Dinner will be dutch treat.

T. J. Samson Women's Conference will be Thursday, March 5th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cave City Convention Center. The keynote speaker is Georgeanna Johnson from the show Extreme Weight Loss. There will be health screenings, educational sessions, lunch and snacks, style show and door prizes. Friends of Mammoth Cave, a group of concerned citizens and community leaders working with the National Park Service started the organization in order to preserve and protect Mammoth Cave National Park.  At the same time, the Friends Organization hopes to enhance visitors' and family experiences for years to come.  The organization works to fund important projects and initiatives many of which are beyond the financial capacity of the National Park Service.  The Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park receives no annual government funding, relying instead upon the support of private citizens, foundations, and corporations.  The organization is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization.  All donations are tax deductible.  For more information, contact Gayle at 1-270-597-7604 or visit www.FriendsofMammothCave.org


From the Abundance of the Hart Food pantry will be open every 3rd Thursday and Friday of the month at the Munfordville Baptist Church.  You must meet the income eligibility guidelines and only receive commodities one time per month.


Hart of Autism, a support group for parents and educators of children on the autism spectrum will be held every -3rd Monday of every month at Munfordville Baptist Church at 3:15 p.m.  For more information call 774-1180.


Metcalfe Head Start Parent Group is seeking donations to help provide Thanksgiving Baskets for their Head Start families.  They currently have 40 children enrolled in their program.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Head start is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.  If you choose to make a monetary donation please make checks payable to the Metcalfe County Parent Group.  Would like to receive all donations by Friday, November 21st.  If you have any questions call 270-432-7236.
