ARK Spay-Neuter Voucher Event
On December 4th, starting at 10:00 a.m., Animal Rescue Kare (ARK) will offer $35 vouchers to get pets spayed or neutered by Hart County vets. This offer is for Hart County residents only, one voucher per household please. To purchase a voucher, call 270-404-0766 to order by phone or go online at ark4hart.org/shop. 50 vouchers will be sold in all. Get your pet fixed for a healthier, happier furry friend.
Barn Lot Theater is proud to return to the stage at Metcalfe County Middle School’s auditorium to present Steel Magnolias on December 4th, 5th, and 6th. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Social distancing and masks will be required. This event is a fundraiser for Barn Lot Theater and is not included in season tickets. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased online at barnlottheater.org or by calling 270-432-BARN.

The Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce’s Community Christmas Parade will happen on December 5th this year. The theme this year is “Heroes of 2020,” and the grand marshal consists of local doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and first responders. Parade units and floats are asked to limit the maximum number of people riding or being involved to 10 people. Spectators are asked to remain with their families and are asked to wear a mask. The route will extend along South Green Street to the South Gate Plaza. Applications are now available and the entry fee is $15. Entries must be received by Friday, November 6th, and are available at www.glasgowbarrenchamber.com. They may be submitted at the Chamber of Commerce, which is located at 118 E. Public Square in Glasgow. After Nov. 6, the entry fee increases to $30.
Munfordville Church of God will host "A Drive Through Live Nativity" at the Munfordville Church of God, 1187 Hardyville Road (Hwy 88), Munfordville, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. December 5th. Kentucky’s Access to Justice Commission and the four Kentucky civil legal aid programs, AppalRed Legal Aid, Kentucky Legal Aid, Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, and Legal Aid Society, introduce the COVID-19 Legal Helpline. Kentuckians experiencing a civil legal problem as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, may call the 24/7 toll free Helpline at 833-540-0342 to be connected to the legal aid program serving their county. Kentuckians can also be connected to the Helpline and learn more about the types of assistance available to them by visiting the Helpline’s website, KYCovidLegalHelp.org.
Due to COVID-19, WLOC Clothes for Kids will not hold their annual radio auction this year. However, Clothes for Kids is continuing to accept monetary donations throughout the year.
