July 17th, 2024

Whickerville Baptist Church presents "Jesus is out of this World" Vacation Bible School Wednesday, July 17th - Friday, July 19th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Classes are available for all ages and meals will be provided nightly. There will be Fun Day with water slides Saturday, July 20th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The church is located at 90 Whickerville Road, Hardyville. The pastor is Bro. Brock Stilts.

 

 

 

July 19th, 2024

Cram the Cruiser school supply drive for Caverna Independent Schools will be held Friday, July 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Cave City Dollar General at 299 E Happy Valley St. and at Horse Cave Family Dollar at 985 E. Main Street. Donations needed include: paper, pencils, markers, folders, crayons, notebooks, highlighters, scissors and binders. July 21st, 2024

Tim Lovelace will be the featured artist at Meade County Farm Bureau BLDG Sunday, July 21st, at 4:00 p.m. Tim is the host of "The Music City Show" and has a new DVD, "Living in a Coffee World". July 22nd, 2024

Vacation Bible School will be held at Lonoke Baptist Church on the Lonoke Road, July 22nd-26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Classes will be for ages 5 and under to 13 and up. Along with Bible lessons, there will be crafts, singing refreshments and activities.

 

 

 

July 28th, 2024

Salem Baptist Church on Old Glasgow-Munfordville Road, will hold revival services beginning Sunday, July 28th. Sunday night's service begins at 6:00 p.m. and will continue nightly at 7:00 p.m. thereafter.  There will be special singing nightly:

Wednesday night - Friendship Baptist Church Youth Choir

July 31st, 2024

Cram the Cruiser will be held Wednesday, July 31st, at the Dollar General Store next to Hart County High School from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hart County FRYSC will be collecting school supply donations for students in Hart County. Superman & Wonder Woman will be there as well.

 

 

 

August 1st, 2024

Caverna FRYSC presents Readifest 2024 Thursday, August 1st, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event will be held at Cave Area Conference Center in Cave City and includes open enrollment for pre-school through 12th grade. There will be giveaways, free school supplies (while they last), backpacks, with vendors and more. This is open to all students attending Caverna Schools. Immanuel Ministry Church invites you to their annual Campmeeting August 2nd-4th, Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30 pm and Sunday at 10:30 am.  Guest speaker this year is Bro. Hart County Solid Waste Free Large Item Drop-Off will be August 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Examples of Free Large Drop-Off Items:

couches, chairs, recliners, mattresses, box springs, tv, tables, dressers, large furniture.

Paint: must be mixed 50/50 with cat litter or sand

Metal: metal is free year round

Large Appliances: Free year around (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, most dishwashers, water heaters microwaves and grills)

There is a charge on all household trash, construction debris, building materials, carpet and tires.

Munfordville Tourism Commission continues the 2nd Annual Summer Nights Concert Series lineup. Free concerts will occur on select Saturday nights in downtown Munfordville. The next dates are  August 3rd and September 7th. Food trucks and vendors will open at 3:00 p.m. with entertainment at 6:00 p.m. There will be various activities.

 

 

August 3rd: The Crashers with Lindsey James Williams

 

September 7th: Ricochet with Cam Thompson.

Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention presents a promotional concert Saturday, August 3rd, at Southside Baptist Church at 2727 Scottsville, Glasgow. The groups singing will be The Spirituals from Edmonton, Living Proof from Bowling Green and The Joymakers from Greensburg. The concert begins at 6 p.m. and there's no admission.
