Feeding America Food Giveaway will be held Tuesday, November 5th, at 12:00 p.m. at Center Methodist Church, Hwy 314 in Metcalfe County. Due to election day traffic, if you are parked between stop sign and church entrance, please pull to the right off into the grass. If you are parked at end of Center, please line up to the right into Church of Christ parking lot and if you are parked in downtown Center, please pull to the right against sidewalk. One box per car. You may get back in line and receive a 2nd box if there are any available.

 

 

 

 

November 6th, 2024

 

A Thanksgiving Community Meal will take place at First United Methodist Church of Munfordville Wednesday, November 6th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meal will consists of turkey & dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, green peas, cranberry sauce, rolls and drinks and dessert will be assorted pies. Requested donation is $8 per person ages 6 and up and children 5 & under are free. Carry out is available. The church is located Hwy 88 East just past the high school. These meals are a continuing building fundraiser and time of fellowship.

 

 

 

 

November 9th, 2024

 

Clothes for Kids Annual Gospel Singing will be held Saturday, November 9th, at Light House Church in Horse Cave. The singing begins at 5:00 p.m. and singers include: We're Blessed, the Sextons, Joyful Echoes, Gospel Cavaliers, Les Milby and the Schofields. A love offering will be taken and goes to WLOC Clothes for Kids.

 

 

 

 

November 10th, 2024

A benefit auction for Elvis Sanders will be held on Sunday, Nov 10th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Auction House located at 205 W Kathleen Ave in Horse Cave who was involved in a motorcycle accident resulting in a broken back. Angels are ready for adoption at Caverna Schools for the Christmas Holiday season. If you would like to adopt an angel, contact Terry Smith at 270-773-3229 or 270-773-4149.

November 16th, 2024

Singing on the Hill will be held Saturday, September 16th, at Friendship Baptist Church #1 at Jonesville at 3:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction and chili supper with adult plates at $6 and child plates are $4. silent auction Singing begins at 4:00 p.m. and the singers include: The Sexton's, We're Blessed, Joyful Echoes and the Friendship Baptist Church Youth Choir. The church is located at 2700 Friendship Church Road, Magnolia.

The 1st Ever Bubby's Holiday Food Drive is underway. The mission is to support local students in need. Items such as: canned foods, non-perishable items, ramen noodles, jams/jellies, peanut butter, and more will help stock the shelves at Hart County & Caverna school's family resource centers. Bro. Josh Calhoun from Somerset will preach Sunday morning, November 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave on the Old Glasgow Road, Horse Cave. Bro. Bobby Neal is the pastor.

The City of Cave City has announced the date and time for the 2024 Cave City Christmas Parade. Come and celebrate "Christmas at the Movies" Sunday, December 15th, at 5:00 p.m. To get a parade application, either stop by  the Chamber office in the Welcome Center at 821 Mammoth Cave Street or go to www.cavecitychamber.com and download an app.

We're Blessed will sing at Barren Run Baptist Church Saturday, November 23rd, at 3:00 p.m. The church is located near Hodgenville, off Hwy 357.
