Monday, May 4th, 2026
Wisdom Faith Christian Academy is hosting a "Meet the Teachers" & Take a Tour of the School Monday, May 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 367 Knob Lick Wisdom Road. Enrollment will be available and refreshments. For more information, call 270-432-7338.

 

The annual WLOC Clothes for Kids radio auction is underway this week through Friday, May 8th, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. each day.  Donations for auction items are requested, including country hams, gift certificates, houseware items, themed baskets, tools, toys and baked goods. These donations may be brought to WLOC in Horse Cave during normal business hours or pickup may be arranged. Monetary donations can be mailed to WLOC Clothes for Kids... Tuesday, May 5th, 2026

Bro. John Campbell will preach Tuesday night, May 5th, at 6:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Church located at 680 Old Glasgow Road (#1846) Horse Cave. The pastor is Bro. Bobby Neal.

 

Wednesday, May 6th, 2026

Munfordville First United Methodist Church is hosting their next community supper Wednesday evening, May 6th, from 6-7pm at the church on KY 88 just East of Hart County High School. This will be a ham sandwich with baked potato and salad bar dinner. Dessert will feature apple dumplings.  Everyone is welcome.  The requested donation for the meal is $8 for ages six and up.

 

Thursday, May 7th, 2026

Thursday, May 7th is "National Day of Prayer".  The community is invited to stand together and pray together in a ceremony on the Hart County Courthouse Lawn from Noon-1pm.

A "Food Truck Round Up" is happening this Thursday, May 7th, (and every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month), at Veteran's Park, near the country club at Rowletts. Get well card shower is being held for Kenneth Chapman. Kenneth has had multiple surgeries and his leg amputated. Anyone who can send a card and a donation for a wheelchair and bed, may mail it to: Kenneth Chapman c/o Judy Bush, 98 Childress Avenue, Clay City, Ky. 40312.

 

Saturday, May 9th, 2026

The annual "Straight From the Hart" benefit for Hart of Autism is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th at the Hart County Fairgrounds Floral Hall beginning at 5:30pm. There will be a dinner, silent auction and live auction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from the hartofautism.org website.

The annual Hart County Band Parents "Raider Ride" Benefit Run is coming up this Saturday, May 9th. The event is at Hart County High School with registration beginning at 9:30am with kick stands up at Noon. The cost is $20 per bike. Food trucks will be set up and door prizes will be given away. A raffle will also be held. For more information, call Anthony at 270-774-4743. All proceeds go to Hart County Band Programs.

The Singing Cookes are celebrating 64 years of singing. They will sing at 11030 Raider Hollow Road, Upton, Sunday, May 30th, at 6:00 p.m. Seats will be available inside but bring your lawn chair if you wish to sit outside. Caffee Reunion will be held Saturday, May 23rd, at 12 noon. It is a potluck mean and all friends and family are welcome.

 

June 19th, 2026
26th Annual Ky Southern Gospel Music Singing Convention will be held Friday, June 19th, beginning at 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 20th, at 3:00 p.m. at Cave Area Conference Center. A special worship service will be held Saturday at noon. Over 50 groups will be singing during these two nights. Admission is free for the entire family.

Hart County Senior Center is open Monday thru Friday from 8am until Noon and offers daily meals, activities, exercise equipment use and other great services like informational programs on current issues affecting seniors. For more information and to take advantage of these free community services, call 270-524-1019. The senior center is closed on Holidays.

Bookmobile service from the Hart County Public Library continues expanding! The service is open to any resident of the county and is especially helpful to those with a busy schedule or has trouble getting out. Call 270-524-1953 to request service or ask questions.
