A benefit singing will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at 1 p.m. at the South Central Baptist Association Building, 6448 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green. Guest singers will be The Burdens, Beaver Dam; The Givens, Bowling Green; Odell Turner, Bowling Green and The Turner Family, Bowling Green. Concessions and silent auction will be available. June 15th, 2024

 

"In the Hart Car Show" will be held at the courthouse square in Munfordville Saturday, June 15th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet & Greet Tom Sarmento Lead Mechanic of the General Lee on "The Dukes of Hazzard" tv show. Show car entry fee is $20 and awards will be given in many categories. Concessions will be available by "The Big M Grill and booth spaces are available for rent. June 19th, 2024

 

 Immanuel Ministry Church is having their Vacation Bible School Wednesday, June 19th- Sunday, June 23rd.  The theme is Lava Lava Luau, with the goal of teaching the children of our community that God has given us His Spirit.  Every child will be able to participate in lesson time, crafts, music and games.  Dinner will be provided for your child each night.  Wednesday – Saturday nights from 6:00-8:30 pm .  We welcome the friends and family of every child to come and see what their children have learned Sunday morning, June 23rd.  VBS will be closing at 10:30 with a meal and Waterslides to follow!  Please bring extra clothes and a towel! Vacation Bible School will be held at Faith Independent Church Wednesday, June 19th, through Friday, June 21st, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be classes for all ages. This year's theme is: Going Fishing. The church is located at 230 Boyd's Knob Road, Munfordville.

Hart County Chamber's Annual Banquet is being held Thursday, June 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hart County Fair Grounds at Rowletts.

 

 

June 22nd, 2024

 

A gospel singing will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, at 5 p.m. at Barber Way General Baptist Church, 1121 Barber Way. Singers will include The Burdens, Beaver Dam; The Givens Family, Bowling Green; The Turner Family, Bowling Green and special guest group also. Refreshments will be served after the singing. Animal Rescue Kare-ARK will have a low-cost spay-neuter rabies voucher sale Saturday, June 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Munfordville Baptist Church. There will be 90 vouchers for dogs/cats for Riverside Vet Clinic and Leitchfield Vet Clinic at $35 each. $20 vouchers for cats for BRAWA in Glasgow will also be available.

 

 

 

June 28th, 2024

 The 24th Annual KY Southern Gospel Music Singing Convention will be held Friday & Saturday, June 28th & 29th, at Cave Area Conference Center. The singing will kickoff Friday at 5:00 p.m. with group registration at 4:00 p.m.  Saturday's singing will get underway at 12 noon with an "Old Fashion Camp Meeting" with Bro. Billy Joe Foster preaching and special singing from the choir. Individual groups will begin singing Saturday at 3:00 p.m. along with soloists throughout the afternoon.  Dewayne Forbis, President, invites everyone to come both days. There is free admission and door prize drawings both days.

 

 

June 30th, 2024

 

Daywind recording artist “BRIAN FREE & ASSURANCE” from Winston, GA will be in concert on June 30th, at Southside Baptist Church, 2727 Scottsville Road, Glasgow, KY 42141. This legendary southern gospel group are multi-Dove Award Winners and is a 2024 Grammy Nominee. The concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. There is no admission. A love offering will be taken. Munfordville Tourism Commission proudly announces the 2nd Annual Summer Nights Concert Series lineup. Free concerts will occur on select Saturday nights in downtown Munfordville. The dates are June 1st, July 13th, August 3rd and September 7th. Food trucks and vendors will open at 3:00 p.m. with entertainment at 6:00 p.m. There will be various activities.

Hart County Solid Waste Free Large Item Drop-Off will be Saturday, July 13th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Examples of Free Large Drop-Off Items:

couches, chairs, recliners, mattresses, box springs, tv, tables, dressers, large furniture.

Paint: must be mixed 50/50 with cat litter or sand

Metal: metal is free year round

Large Appliances: Free year around (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, most dishwashers, water heaters microwaves and grills)

There is a charge on all household trash, construction debris, building materials, carpet and tires.
