Wednesday, April 30th, 2025

Revival services begin Wednesday night, April 30th, at Savoyard Missionary Baptist Church at 7:00 p.m. nightly. The pastor is Bro. Austin Sike.

 

Thursday, May 1st, 2025

National Day of Prayer will be observed Thursday, May 1st, at 11:00 a.m. on the Hart County Courthouse Lawn in Munfordville. There will be several speakers offering up prayer for our community. Everyone is welcome to participate.

 

May 3rd, 2025

Whickerville Baptist Church Youth Group Yard Sale & Bake Sale will be held Saturday, May 3rd, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be clothes, shoes, home decor and clothes will be $2 per bag and the bags will be furnished. For more information, call Bro. Brock Stilts at 270-670-4301.

 

May 4th, 2025

We're Blessed will sing at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, just outside of Bonnieville, Sunday, May 4th, for homecoming services. Service starts at 10 a.m. with Bro. Chuck Purlee bringing the message and We're Blessed will sing at 11:00. A potluck meal will follow.

Jeff Sneed Trio of Glasgow will sing at Eulia General Baptist Church in Westmoreland, TN, Sunday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m.

 

United Quartet will sing at Southside Baptist Church Sunday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m. There is no admission. The church is located at 2727 Scottsville Road, Glasgow. A love offering will be taken. For more information, call 270-670-5144.

 

Monday, May 5th, 2025

WLOC Clothes for Kids Annual Radio Auction will begin Monday, May 5th, at 9:00 a.m. New donations are being accepted such as: country hams, theme baskets, gift certificates, tools, small appliances, toys and anything of antique value. You may drop off your items at WLOC radio station on 31-W in Horse Cave or send a check payable to: WLOC Clothes for Kids, P.O. Box 98, Horse Cave, Ky. 42749. Clothes for kids is a non-profit charitable organization, serving the resource centers in Hart County and Caverna Schools.

Hart of Autism fundraiser "Straight from the Hart" will be held May 10th at Floral Hall at Hart County Fairgrounds in Munfordville. There will be a dinner with a silent and live auction. Donations are being accepted. For more information, call 270-537-5381.

Open House Event for LeGrande Elementary School has been postponed.  The event will be rescheduled prior to the May board of education meeting which will be held at LeGrande Elementary School on Thursday, May 15th.

 

May 16th, 2025

The Singing Cookes are celebration 63 years of singing gospel music. They will be at 11030 Raider Hollow Road Friday, May 16th, at 6:30 p.m. Concession stand will be available and there will be seating inside, but you may bring a lawn chair if you wish to sit outside. May 17th, 2025

WLOC Outside Gospel Singing will be held Saturday, May 17th, at 2:00 p.m. in the WLOC parking lot in Horse Cave. Eight gospel groups will be featured. Bring your lawn chairs. There will be concessions by M&M Concessions. A free will offering will be taken for Clothes for Kids, which serves Hart County and Caverna Schools.

June 1st, 2025

Middle School and High School age kids will be at Salem Baptist Church for Youth Serve 309, Sunday evening, June 1st, through Wednesday, June 4th. Please join us for a week of serving the community with service projects and joining together each night for worship. The church is located at 90 Salem Church Road, Cave City.

Vacation Bible School will be held at Salem Baptist Church in Cave City Sunday, July 6th, through Thursday, July 10th, at 5:30 p.m. nightly. The week begins with fireworks and a cookout event Sunday evening and Bible school is available for all ages. For more information, call 270-773-2346/

Hart County Senior Center is open Monday thru Friday from 8am until Noon and offers daily meals, activities, exercise equipment use and other great services like informational programs on current issues affecting seniors. For more information and to take advantage of these free community services, call 270-524-1019. The senior center is closed on Holidays.

Bookmobile service from the Hart County Public Library continues expanding! The service is open to any resident of the county and is especially helpful to those with a busy schedule or has trouble getting out. Call 270-524-1953 to request service or ask questions. You can also visit hartcountypubliclibrary.us for more information.

Hardyville Union Church Community Cupboard is open 24/7 for donations and distribution. The exchange dropbox is located in front of the church on US 31E in Hardyville and is open for everyone. Leave what you can and take what you need. Anyone wishing to donate should leave canned and pre-packaged foods that are store-bought only.

Anyone diagnosed with type-two diabetes and obesity is welcome to see if they are eligible for assistance through participation in the University of Kentucky’s Rural Diabetes Study.
