Hart County Community Action has a clothing closet that is open on Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Residents that live in Hart County may come during those times. Applicants must provide the prior month's income and social security cards for each member of the household. Gently used clean clothing and small household items are accepted. Cave City Proud Days will be held Friday and Saturday, September 21st & 22nd.  On Friday, there will be a 5K Glow Run at 5:30 p.m. through the downtown area. Cave City & Horse Cave are hosting a Cave Country Pedal Bicycle Event on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. with bike routes suitable for all levels of bike experience. Rides will start and finish at the Cave City Convention Center.

Dance class is held every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Community Center. For more information, call 270-427-8400.

AMS Racing will be transporting a load of needed items to residents in North Carolina. Items needed include: clothing, detergents, paper products, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, etc. Items are being accepted for the next two weeks and can be brought to 5862 N. Annual Cub Run Days Car, Truck & Tractor Show will be held September 22nd, at Cub Run School Ball Field. Registration will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with judging at 11:00 a.m. and awards will be presented at 1:00 p.m. Special awards include: Best of Show, Best GM, Ford, Mopar, Truck, Best original-classic and new models, modified, hot rod, plus Top 20 Cars, People's Choice, plus several other categories with trophies. On Saturday, September 22, the town of Brownsville will be holding a Cave Country Paddle event between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon  which will allow participants to canoe or kayak the Green River from Houchin Ferry within Mammoth Cave National Park to the Brownsville Boat Ramp.  Reservations are recommended and can be obtained by calling 270-773-5712.

The 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk Run for Health will be held at Barren River Plaza on N L Rogers Wells Blvd in Glasgow on Saturday, September 22nd, at 8:00 a.m. Register online at www.extremeky.com or call 270-651-3036.

Mammoth Cave National Park will offer free Discovery cave tours on Saturday, September 22nd, in recognition of National Public Lands Day The tour will be offered from 10 am to 3 pm. Participants need to pick up their tickets in the visitor center.

Cave City Proud Days Children's Parade will be held Saturday, September 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. The event is open to anyone 12 and under. Each participant will receive a balloon at the start of the parade and a certificate when completed. Miniature floats are also welcome, as well as strollers and buggies. Children may were costumes that are no scary. The event is sponsored by the Cave Country Lions Club.

Hart County Farm, Garden & Hunting Expo will be held Saturday, September 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hart County Fairgrounds at Rowletts. There will be cooking demonstrations, a Southwest Dairy Farmers' mobile classroom, lots of crop and soil information, vendor booths, door prizes and giveaways. Admission is free. WLOC - Studio 101 will be broadcasting live from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon

Dance at Mt. Hermon Community Center will be held Saturday, September 22nd, at 7:00 p.m., featuring Rusty Tymes. Concessions will be available.

Mammoth Cave National Park will be home to the Friends of Mammoth Cave’s 4th Annual Mammoth-on, America’s only cave walk, trail hike, and bicycle triathlon, on Sunday, September 23rd, starting at 8:00 a.m.  The Mammoth-on event will begin at the Lodge at Mammoth Cave. Rowletts Baptist Church will have homecoming service on Sunday, September 23rd, with Sunday School beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed with the morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. Special music will be provided by the Joymakers and a potluck meal will follow. The pastor is Bro. Dwayne Cook.

Lonoke Baptist Church will celebrate their 215th Anniversary with a celebration on Sunday, September 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. There will be visiting with former pastors, preaching, singing, a potluck meal with the church providing the meat and good church fellowship. An Innovative Bullying Prevention Play is coming to Bonnieville & Cub Run Elementary Schools on Tuesday, September 25th. This will be for middle school students of Cub Run and Bonnieville schools from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The play is based on real life accounts, focuses on preventing cyberbullying and suicide by creating a scenario where students practice what they would do if they or a friend were bullied and how to recognize warning signs. Riverfest at Thelma Stovall Park will be held Saturday, September 29th, from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Food vendors will set up at 4:00 with Poor Key BBQ and Kona Ice. All kids and youth activities are free, including: knockerball, bouncy house, face painting, corn hole, cotton candy and popcorn.  Live music begins at 5:00 p.m. with Green River Boys, Justin Cole and River Pointe Church Worship Band. All proceeds will go to Hart County Scholarship Alliance.
