Benefit yard sale for Walker Ballard will be held  through Saturday, June 27th, on South Dixie Highway in Cave City, KY.  Walker, 20 months old, who lives in Park City, KY was born with half a heart.  He recently had his 3rd open heart surgery on April 23, 2015.  He was diagnosed with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) and has other health issues.  Walker has to travel back and forth to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH.  His father pays over $1000.00 a month for health insurance.  Due to Walker being in the hospital for almost 2 months, his father has not been able to work.  We are trying to raise money to help Walker and his father pay for his health insurance and other medical expenses.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated.  All proceeds will go toward keeping Walkers health insurance and other medical expenses.  You can follow Walker's progress on Facebook at www.facebook.com/prayersforwalkerballard.  Contact Betty Ballard at 270-404-4836 or Martha Coomer 270-646-7818 for any questions you may have.

The Woodsonville Baptist Church will be celebrating Pastor K. T. Ford's 10th Pastoral Anniversary. On Saturday, June 27th, there will be a picnic at 12 noon at the church.  On Sunday, June 28th, at the 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. service, the guest preacher will be the State Moderator of the General Association of Baptist in Kentucky, Rev. Dr. C. B. Akins, Pastor of First Baptist Bracktown, of Lexington. The Woodsonville Mass Choir will provide morning music and the afternoon special music guest will be the Bowling Green Gospel Troopers. Lunch will be served.

 

A benefit for Bill Norman will be held Saturday, June 27th, at 481 Flint Ridge Road, Horse Cave, off I-65. A Poker Run will start at 10 a.m. with kickstands up at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $15 per bike, there will be a 50/50 drawing, silent auction and food will be available for purchase. The Christmas season is the time to start thinking about helping other people.  There are many organizations that provide charity Christmas assistance to individuals and families.  There are many children who live in our community that are less fortunate.  The stress of the season mixed with financial stress can be a lot for anyone to handle.  All money raised will provide a child that traditional red stocking full of exciting toys for little ones on Christmas morning.  Events are planning through out the summer and fall to help raise money for a good cause.  Any donations are greatly appreciated.  For more information about who can qualify and what the credentials are to qualify please contact Ronda Kidd at 270-473-3129, Sheryl Shirley at 270-307-0311 or Deborah Bradley at 270-473-1045.

From the Abundance of the Hart Food pantry will be open every 3rd Thursday and Friday of the month at the Munfordville Baptist Church.  You must meet the income eligibility guidelines and only receive commodities one time per month.
