March 6th, 2021


A Benefit Ride Poker Run and Silent Auction is being held for Richard Houchens, District #9 KBA director. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The benefit will be March 6th and will meet at the clubhouse at 12:00 p.m. with kickstands up at 1:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction and food. The location is 4061 South Fork Road, Glasgow. March 7th, 2021


Claude and Elise Henley from Cookeville, TN will sing and preach at the Lighthouse Church Sunday morning, March 7th, at 10:00 a.m. The pastor is Bro. Bobby Neal and the church is located at 680 Old Glasgow Road, Horse Cave.



March 8th, 2021


The Annual 4-H Radio Auction will be held at WLOC - Studio 101 during the week of March 8th-12th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you would like to donate something or know of someone that may donate, please contact the extension office at 270-524-2451.



March 14th, 2021


Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave will resume Sunday evening services at 5:00 p.m. beginning Sunday, March 14th. The pastor is Bro. Bobby Neal.



March 22nd, 2021


The WLOC Spring Clothes for Kids Radio Auction will be held the week of March 22nd – 26th 2021. Donated items such as: crafts, tools, toys, quilts, antiques, knives and baked goods may be brought to the WLOC radio station and monetary donations can be mailed to:  WLOC  P.O. Box 98, Horse Cave, Ky. 42749.  Clothes for Kids is a non-profit organization working with the nine family resource centers in Hart County and Caverna School systems.

Kentucky’s Access to Justice Commission and the four Kentucky civil legal aid programs, AppalRed Legal Aid, Kentucky Legal Aid, Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, and Legal Aid Society, introduce the COVID-19 Legal Helpline.  Kentuckians experiencing a civil legal problem as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, may call the 24/7 toll free Helpline at 833-540-0342 to be connected to the legal aid program serving their county. Kentuckians can also be connected to the Helpline and learn more about the types of assistance available to them by visiting the Helpline’s website,

Due to COVID-19, WLOC Clothes for Kids will not hold their annual radio auction this year. However, Clothes for Kids is continuing to accept monetary donations  throughout the year. If you would like to donate, please send your monetary donation to:  WLOC Clothes for Kids, P.O. Box 98, Horse Cave, Ky. 42749.  All donations are greatly appreciated.  Clothes for Kids serves the nine family resource centers in Hart County and Caverna Schools and is a 501-C3 non-profit organization.
