The 2016 Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention will be held Friday, October 21st, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 22nd, at 5:30 p.m. p.m. at the Cave City Convention Center. Admission is free and concessions will be available. For more information, call James Bratcher at 270-670-5144.
Customer Appreciation Lunch will be held at Neville Family Dentistry in Horse Cave Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. WLOC Studio 101 will be broadcasting live. There will be free BBQ lunch, prize drawings and door prizes.
Memorial School PTSA Annual Fall Festival will be held Friday, October 21st. The chili supper will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be lots of fun games and booths in the gym and the cake walk. There will be a silent auction and a Womanless Beauty Contest. The Memorial Jail will be run by the Hart County Jailer.

1st Annual Run/Walk 5k will be held Saturday, October 22nd, in Munfordville at 7:30 a.m. The walk is hosted by Karen Roten and proceeds will go to River Pointe Church Mission trip to Poland. All participants will receive a free t-shirt. Refueling stations will available throughout the race. Awards will be given. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for youths. Bonnieville Baptist Church will host a fall festival on Saturday, October 22nd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be games and prizes, hayrides, trunk/treat, cake-walk, bonfire and the annual Chili Cook-Off contest. Munfordville Volunteer Fire Department Annual Chili Supper & Auction will be held Saturday, October 22nd. The Bible Foundation in Newberg, OR, is collecting Bibles, including parts of Bibles during their Annual October Bible Drive, which serves over 80 countries. This saves Bibles from destruction. There will be a dance at Mt Hermon Community Center on Saturday, October 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. Entertainment provided by Generation and this will be a Halloween themed dance, with a costume contest for all ages. Fall Harvest Celebration Revival will be held Saturday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 30th, at Samson Street Church of God in Glasgow. The First United Methodist Church of Munfordville will continue their building fundraiser this month with Wednesday night community dinners. On Wednesday, October 26th, it's Italian night with spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, chicken fettuccini alfredo, salad, garlic bread and a drink. Desserts are available for an additional $1. Little League basketball boys & girls sign-ups will begin Wednesday, November 2nd, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. And also on Monday, November 7th, and Wednesday, November 23rd, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hart County High School Gym. The cost is $40 per child, $70 for 2 children in the same household and games will start on the weekend of January 7th & 8th with the pre-season tournament. The Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce 2016 Community Christmas Parade will be held December 3rd. This year's theme is Christmas Love and the grand marshal will be the Glasgow Shrine Club / Kosair Charities.
